On February 21, 2023, the Center for Clinical Ophthalmology, with the informational support of the Ukrainian Vitreoretinal Surgeons Society, held a scientific and practical conference in Kyiv: “Retinal Gene Therapy in the Treatment of Inherited Ophthalmic Diseases. The Time Has Come.”
The invited speaker was Robert MacLaren, Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Oxford and Honorary Consultant Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The event focused on retinal gene therapy, genetic testing, new treatment methods, and future vitreoretinal technologies.
